Who is my favorite author?
Deciding on just one person who is my favorite author is very difficult. When comes to the classics it would have to Shakespeare or Chaucer. But even when I just say those two I can think of so many other authors that are just amazing. I guess over-all in that category Shakespeare would probably win. He is just an amazing writer. The way he writes is just beautiful. I also love Jane Austen as a writer. I would put her in the classic romantics. She is another one that can write just so beautifully. For the modern writers if I had to say an author it would be John Grisham. I like how he writes and reading about the legal type things. When comes down to it though, I just love literature. I could probably talk about it all day long. I think by me just saying that, I sort of classified myself as a nerd.

How am I feeling at this point in the semester?
I am feeling very stressed and tired. I am also noticing that I am more sensitive about things. So if something happens that is not really that big of a deal it stresses me out more than it really should. I wish that I wouldn't get this way, but I don't ever see that happening. I do know that I am worse this year than I was last year. And to be perfectly honest I don't really know why. I am so ready for this semester to be over with. I am looking forward to next semester for some things but not really want to go to school. To sum up the majority of my feelings.. I am worn out.

Is it important to study classical work? Such as: Shakespeare, Chaucer, and the Bible.
I believe it is very important to study classical works. If we do not study them, then how are we suppose to know where all of our language and the beauty of language comes from? It also teaches us about our history. And we need to know the history of our world and ancestors, so that hopefully we can learn from their mistakes and successes. The Bible is the most important work to study. It tells us how to live our lives, how to love people around us, and how to get through the tough times even when it seems we will never make it through. Shakespeare and Chaucer not only entertain us with their works but give us history and knowledge of Britain and of all the royal lines.

My Frustation...With myself!
I get so frustrated with myself and I tend to do nothing about it but just grow more frustrated and stressed. I usually always procrastinate on everything. And then I get super stressed out because I have to hurry and do something. So what do I do? I keep procrastinating. I know it's something only I can change but, it's a lot harder to change what I do when I have been doing like this for so long. I need to just stop thinking about changing and actually do it. This sounds so dumb to me because this blog is a prime example of my procrastination.

What book have I always wanted to read and why?
I have always wanted to read Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. I think she is a wonderful author. I love to read when I get a chance to just read what I want, but I hardly ever get a chance to because I am always having to read things for class or do other things. During the summer if I don't take summer classes I can read more.
What do I want to do with my English degree?
I would love to be a junior high English teacher. Not only do I want to be able to teach students the things they will need to know as far as grammer goes, but I want to be able to touch someones life like teachers have in my life. I believe that teachers are very significant people in everyones life whether it is in a good way or bad. Of course I want it to be in the good way. I also want to write a book. I started wanting to really write this summer. I'm not sure how everything will work out but hopefully it will.

What does good writing look like?
I believe good writing looks very well organized and the intended audience can read it with ease. Good writing is not hard to obtain if you practice and have either peers or someone you know edit it. It is always good to have more than one person edit your paper unless you know the person editing it is like having five people edit it. Going back to the intended audience, the writer will have vocabulary in the paper that each person reading it will understand. That is not saying they won't have upper level vocabulary, that is just saying they will have vocabulary that isn't above the level of the intended audience. I believe good writing and a good writer doesn't have just the bare minimum of writing they have in the middle if not to the max of what the teacher/boss wants them to have.
